FDM (Fused Deposition Modelling) 3D Printing
FDM (Fused Deposition Modeling) 3D printing technology is the most commonly used 3D printing method.
FDM works by extruding thermoplastics such as ABS, PLA, PET, PETT, Nylon, PVA, Sandstone, Wood, Metal, HIPS, Magnetic Iron, Conductive, Carbon Fiber, TPE through a heated nozzle, melting the material and applying the plastic layer to a build platform. Each layer is laid one at a time until the piece is complete.
FDM printing technology is generally well suited for the fast and low-cost printing of simple parts such as basic prototype parts as well as concept models.
Stereolithography (SLA) 3D Printing
Stereolithography is the world’s first 3D printing technology invented in the 1980s and is still one of the most popular technologies for professionals. SLA uses a laser or UV light source to convert liquid resin into cured plastic in a process called photopolymerization. SLA is an excellent option for highly detailed prototypes that require tight tolerances and smooth surfaces such as dies, patterns and functional parts. This printing technology is widely used in industries ranging from engineering and product design to manufacturing, dentistry, jewelry, model making and education.

Hassasiyet: SLA baskı tekniği FDM e göre bir miktar daha iyidir.
Baskı Yüzey Kalitesi: SLA yüzey baskı kalitesi FDM’e göre oldukça yüksektir.
Karmaşık Baskı: SLA baskı FDM’e göre detay gerektiren baskılarda çok daha üstündür.
Baskı büyüklüğü: Teknoloji gelişimi ve maliyete göre baskı ebatları masa üstü yazıcılarda 200x200x300mm ve üzerinde olabilmektedir.
Maliyet: Gerek 3B yazıcı gerek baskı malzeme maliyeti açısından FDM 3B yazıcılar ve baskı malzemeleri daha ucuzdur.
Baskı işlemleri: FDM baski her ortamda çok daha kolay yapılabir. SLA baskı için kullanılan sıvı reçine toksik bir malzemedir ve elleri gizleri ve solunması halinde cigerleri etkileyebilir. İyi havalandırılmış bir ortamda çalışılması gerekir. Ayrıca SLA baskılar reçine türüne göre alkolle temızlemek ve uv ışıkla kürlemek gerekir.
